Day 061 – March 02, 2013 – Saturday

Weather:
Cold with light snow most of the day. Only a very light dusting, a trace – enough to just barely cover the bare dirt in the flower bed.

Temperatures (Official): (Fahrenheit, from Weather Underground)
28 and 24

Temperatures Observed: (Fahrenheit, my observations, mercury thermometer)
30 about 4 pm

Precipitation:
a trace of snow

Photos:

Day 060 – March 01, 2013 – Friday

Weather:
Cloudy with some very light snow – very tiny flakes that you couldn’t see unless you were outside in it. No accumulation. All the snow is gone today.

Temperatures (Official): (Fahrenheit, from TV or Weather Underground)
34 and 27
The low was just before midnight tonight and I think the high was probably just after midnight last night.

Precipitation:
nothing measurable, not even enough to wet the ground

Birds:
junco
cardinal – female

Other Animals:
squirrel

Day 059 – February 28, 2013 – Thursday

Weather:
Cloudy and cold. Probably a few flurries or sprinkles in late afternoon and evening
Snow in the early AM – enough to cover the ground and the street. At noon the snow was melting and the street and patio were wet with no snow, but the grass and roofs still had what looked like at least an inch, so there must have been at least an inch or two before it started melting. Except for some patchy snow on the grass and the roofs it had all melted off by dark tonight.

Temperatures (Official): (Fahrenheit, from TV or Weather Underground)
36 and 30

Precipitation:
1 or 2 inches of snow is my guess (1 to 2 tenths of liquid)

Birds:
cardinal – male, female
junco

Photos:

Day 016 – January 16, 2013 – Wednesday

Weather:
A little warmer, cloudy with maybe a few very brief weak peeks of sun mid-day. A very unusual and beautiful sunset with lots of reddish colors, mostly in the west but dappled on clouds in all directions.

Conditions:
The ice in the side yard (north) was gone, this is where water often stands after rain.

Temperatures (Official): (Fahrenheit, from TV)
35 and 28

Temperatures Observed: (Fahrenheit, my observations, mercury thermometer)
39 or 40 in early afternoon, 37 at 5 pm

Observations:
I didn’t have much time for observing.
