January 10, 2014 : Warmer, Snow Melting, Cloudy

• Warmer, snow melting, cloudy. Some light rain or drizzle starting before dark and continuing tonight – but there was nothing measurable and so I wonder if it wasn’t just enough mist or fog to keep the ground wet.
• All the beautiful snow that fell last night was gone or turned to slush and melting fast this morning. By midnight tonight there was hardly a trace of snow left.

• even so I didn’t see any birds until almost 5 pm (very unusual, but happens once in a while)

Birds
• woodpecker – downy or hairy
• cardinal – female, male, at dusk

Other Animals
• squirrel
